Spelling Bee: Part 2


Allie and Brenton participated in their schools spelling bee and both made it to the finals! (obviously they did not inherit this from me) Only 25 kids from each grade make it to the finals and that is pretty good considering how many kids there are in first and second grade!! Here we have Allie spelling one of her words!

Spelling Bee: Part 1

If any of you have read my posts you will notice that I am not the best speller. I cannot promise that it will get any better either! so I invite you to just laugh along with me!
It is needless to say that never won or even participated in the spelling bee in grade school.
Actually I have my very own spelling consultant, but he only corrects my spelling after it is posted for everyone to see! What a gem! Ha ha ha! I appreciate you overlooking my errors and reading anyway!

Tomorrow ATK is having a plant-wide lay off of 300 employees. We have been very fortunate and blessed to find out that Josh will not lose his Job! He gets the rotton task of helping to escort, those who do, out. I am still very nerveous because Josh's Dad, 2 sisters and brother-in-law all work there as well as many friends and others. This is such a sad and devistating thing. I hope and pray that all will be well, but ask if you would join with me in praying for those families and individuals who do not have a job tomorrow. When times get hard we always know that we can turn to our Heavenly Father for peace and comfort. I know that in giving service that we can help those around us too!

Gratitude!

My heart has been so full lately, and I am so grateful for all the wonderful things and people in my life!! I am reminded everyday of all the wonderful blessings that My Heavenly Father gives me, and humbled that he loves me enough to do so! I hope that everyone in this world will feel of His love and know the true happiness that comes from having a relationship with Him!!! Please count your blessings and give someone a hug because our lives are too short to go around being grumpy or holding grudges! I personally want to say to everyone who will read this that I am grateful for you and whatever roll you play in my life!!!

I am already laughing just typing this! I didn't have a picture of Brenton holding Cael, but being the evil step-momster I am! ( thanks Aunt Jody for the great name!) I couldn't help but post this pic! This is how Brenton Looks at least 2 times during the day, and yes those are tears, which he refuses to wipe away. He is thinking right as I am taking the picture if only looks could kill! then I show it to him and he breaks out in laughter! Oh Brenton we can't help but Love you! it's so hard to be a little boy!

Looks Like Fat Camp sign-up's are in order

So I just thought this was so funny I had to share!
I got on my Wii Fit yesterday after lunch to see my progress and work out. This amazing thing does everything! let me tell you.... first it gave me a guilt trip because I had not taken a body test in like 6 days; then it rattled off several things I should be doing to get healthy that I "obviously" was not doing , next it took my weight and told me that I had gained a whole whopping one Lb since last time and then.... (this is the best part) it showed me a screen with several options for me to choose from that would explain the 1 Lb difference in my weight ie. not excersizing, eating too much, eating too late, snacking and so on. It would not let me move on until I picked one of these, and.... Just eating lunch was not even an option! I had been rooked! I picked eating too much because this seems to be the thing that I do most often. It chastened me and told me to try to do better, and it must've worked because I didn't stop until I had worked out for half an hour! When I reached the 30 minute mark my bank that is shaped like a pig (do you think they are trying to call me fat without me knowing?) started jumping up and down. I had to laugh!! I will get back on sometime today and see if I really should start looking into Fat Camp..... but just between you and me I think that I am just fine. Please don't tell my piggy bank that! Ha ha ha ha ha bwaha ha!!

Of fun, but I will definitly come along to take the pictures!!

My cute husband took the kids sledding in Brigham city a few weeks ago, and they had a complete blast! Even better... no one got hurt! and I got to stay in the warm car with the sleeping baby most of the time! I Love watching Josh play with the kids! It makes me fall in Love with him all over again!

Let it Stop.....I mean snow!

Today has been a day full of emotional eating for me. When it is freezing cold outside and the snow is endlessly pouring down from Heaven, my little soul starts going into a strange panic! The only thing to cure this panic is by eating everything I see i.e. cereal, toast, fruit snacks, macaroni and cheese, and the list goes on and on. I ate some fun-size candy bars that Allie had been hording in her room for a month, and you know what? None of this made me feel better!!! I just feel sick and the candy bars didn't provide enough chocolate!! Who invented those stupid bite-size things???So I ran downstairs to jump on the trampoline to burn off all the guilt... I mean calories I just devoured.
Hopefully we will have plenty of water this summer, because we sure had enough snow!!! And you know something else? They couldn't even find it in their hearts to cancel school today, even when there was already a foot of snow on the ground when it was time to leave! It took me 20 min. to drive to the school and 20 min. to get home!
On the up-side our nice neighbor, across the street, plowed our driveway! Please tell me I am not the only one that has this type of trauma in the winter?

Can I Hear A Shout-Out For The Tooth Fairy!

Brenton just lost his first tooth on Monday! It had been wiggly for weeks, and he had been patiently waiting, for what seemed like forever, to have a toothless grin! He is 6 and is one of the last kids in his class to lose a tooth, so this is a momentous occasion!!!

Prayer of the Children

So.... Through the years our kids have said some pretty funny prayers. Just last night when Draycin was praying he said, "thank thee for our car and thank thee for my basket ball and thank thee for the couch." I would never have thought to have said I was thankful for the couch, but I guess Draycin is right; we should be thankful for everything we have big or little. I'm sure that this is beside the fact that the couch is his personal climbing wall/trampoline, and so he felt he must be thankful for such a wonderful toy! Maybe next time it is my turn to pray I should say, "thank thee for Draycin not jumping on the couch," and see what happenes.....
