Spring Break!

Spring Break was last week for our kids, and I have to tell you that is was a really fun break with lots of sunshine and activities!!!

This was the first day of the break from school and it was fabulous!! The kids slept in, we ate a big breakfast, they colored and painted and rode their bikes out in the beautiful weather!! They were all very happy and I wish we had more relaxing days like this!!

Go Jazz!!

I am not really a huge sports fan, but I will do anything to have some time with just Josh and I!! So he got some tickets to the jazz game through his work and off we went for our date night!! Well it wasn't actually that simple, but thanks to my in-laws and Dina we were able to get there on time and without the kids!! :)

We ate at Apple Bees and then ran to the game! When we got there we were up pretty high and I felt a little dizzy.

We never get any pictures together anymore so I was happy to get these!!

As most of you know... I am afraid of heights and so I felt like we were going to tumble all the way to the bottom, but as the other people filled in I didn't feel like that anymore and was even leaning forward some of the time! Progress!!

We had a great time and I actually got into the game! More progress!! We were sitting by a couple who were really big fans of the Jazz and so it was fun to listen to them and cheer!! The half time show was the Worlds Most Flexible Man. He did some horrific things to his joints to fit through some very tiny things. I was cringing and just watching with my mouth open until I realized I should be recording this! So I whipped out my camera just in time to see him kiss his butt goodbye! literally.... watch!

We had a great time and the Jazz won by 10 points!! We didn't get home until 2 in the morning because it was a late game and we picked up the boys before we went home. Luckily Josh was on swing shift so he got a little more sleep than when he is on days!!

Soccer Game!

A couple weeks ago we went to Salt Lake REAL's opening soccer game at the new Rio Tinto stadium! It was so fun and the best part was that it was free to the public! They did a carnival for the kids before the game started at 1 pm! Aunt "Turtle" and Averie came with us too!!

Cael Just loved the music and commotion! He kept jumping up and down and clapping his hands!! But that is beside the fact that every time my Uncle Shawn looks at him he doesn't see just Cael... he sees an 18 million dollar REAL contract! Ha ha! he must be destined!

The game was a good one and REAL won 3 to 1!
Allie and Brenton loved the game! Brenton Got up and was cheering with his hands in the air when they scored a GOOOOAAALLLL!!!!

Allie actually kicked it in the hole and got a ton of candy!!! (just what we need more of) The funny thing is that Josh tried it 2 times and never made it. HA ha! That is why Allie will be the one playing soccer this spring and not him. ;)

Draycin got several chances to kick the ball, but he has many more years of training ahead of him!

Spelling Bee: Part 2


Allie and Brenton participated in their schools spelling bee and both made it to the finals! (obviously they did not inherit this from me) Only 25 kids from each grade make it to the finals and that is pretty good considering how many kids there are in first and second grade!! Here we have Allie spelling one of her words!

Spelling Bee: Part 1

If any of you have read my posts you will notice that I am not the best speller. I cannot promise that it will get any better either! so I invite you to just laugh along with me!
It is needless to say that never won or even participated in the spelling bee in grade school.
Actually I have my very own spelling consultant, but he only corrects my spelling after it is posted for everyone to see! What a gem! Ha ha ha! I appreciate you overlooking my errors and reading anyway!

Tomorrow ATK is having a plant-wide lay off of 300 employees. We have been very fortunate and blessed to find out that Josh will not lose his Job! He gets the rotton task of helping to escort, those who do, out. I am still very nerveous because Josh's Dad, 2 sisters and brother-in-law all work there as well as many friends and others. This is such a sad and devistating thing. I hope and pray that all will be well, but ask if you would join with me in praying for those families and individuals who do not have a job tomorrow. When times get hard we always know that we can turn to our Heavenly Father for peace and comfort. I know that in giving service that we can help those around us too!

Gratitude!

My heart has been so full lately, and I am so grateful for all the wonderful things and people in my life!! I am reminded everyday of all the wonderful blessings that My Heavenly Father gives me, and humbled that he loves me enough to do so! I hope that everyone in this world will feel of His love and know the true happiness that comes from having a relationship with Him!!! Please count your blessings and give someone a hug because our lives are too short to go around being grumpy or holding grudges! I personally want to say to everyone who will read this that I am grateful for you and whatever roll you play in my life!!!
